Integración
para la Vida (Integration
for Life aka InPaVi) was founded by Luis Sagarra Benito in Mexico
City in 1982. It was born as a consequence of the founder's
desire to do something for the least fortunate. Therefore, with
this desire and a sensitivity to the needs of others, he took
six street children into his own home, to who he offered his
own resources, food, hygiene, clothing and shelter. But, due
to his lack of experience in this area, his efforts were in
vain and the integration of the children into society was incompleted.
From this moment on, thee question 'In what way to help?' arose,
noting that not only the deisre to help is neccessary but that
there is also a need to learn to carry out this work in a professional,
humane and effective manner.

With this in mind,
fron 1983, a group of people began to meet in order to learn
which form made them able to help those in need in a more effective
manner. The relevant idea was that people can only truly
change with the help of God. With this idea, a growing
number of people continued to meet, who had a growing interest
to understand what implications real Christianity has. With
a strong desire to serve, rose the need to compliy with the
law and to give the group a legal channel, giving place for
the Chirstian civil association Centro de Vida Cristiana
A.C. (Centre of Christian Life), in 1983.

|
|
Centro
de Vida Cristiana rose as a non-denominational Christian
organisation, which has among its members people from different
backgrounds: catholics, evangelicals, humanists, etc., people
who joined as one in order to be able to express something more
than religion: a real and daily CHRISTIAN LIFE.

|
Therefore, with the
desire to continue moving forward with the objective of running
effective programs in favour of those who are most needy and
organising the strengths of many of the members of Centro de
Vida Cristiana, Integración para la Vida, legally became
the social arm of Centro de Vida Cristiana. It was formed in
order to:
-
benefit those people who suffer from any grade of personal,
family, economic, social or moral exclusion
-
to combine and organise the efforts of those who wish to help.
|
|
| |
Therefore,
Integración para la Vida is a social action organisation
lead by Christians, who open their doors to society in general,
to every person, may they be atheist, jew, Christian, muslim,
etc., who wants to put themselves in the gap in order to help
others. |
